Excerpt From SAMUEL OWENS: THE PIG BOY

The morning crew arrived on time. The calamity they found in the grand ballroom was one that they would never forget. Sitting back on the throne, his face caked with blood, Samuel Owens was sound asleep. He held Nicole Bellum on his lap. Her head was resting against his chin. Her throat had been slit and she was very dead. On a small table sat a sterno stove and a grimy frying pan. From all indications it was evident that someone had been cooking blood. In the center of the ballroom a rope hung down from the grand chandelier. The floor beneath it was awash in wet blood. Half way across the hall, lying upright was the head of Julie Prince.
